The league is an Interscholastic organization that offers schedules and rosters for varsity, JV, middle school, and little league teams throughout the state. We offer clearing house representation and scholarship clinics in phase two of development.
a regional and state meet will be held for registered teams statewide. The deadline to register must be followed for all sports. The league will provide for you all the guidlines and qualifications to compete at Regionals and State this year. We are praying for a fantastic experience that glorifies God and positively motivates families and athletes this year.
It is an honor to be a part of Regional Athletics and be United in faith across the Upstate. God has great things in store for these great athletes. All teams will participate in Fellowship of Christian Athletes charters and we will meet as a group to worship and view a football game october 17th http:// www.southcarolinafca.org
For those regions who have not participated in some or any of these sports, I encourage you to recruit and delegate other coaches to simultaneously start each sports together. This will allow regions and teams to be on the same training cycle and provide close competitions. Many of the sports only need a few players and for larger teams like tackle football we can compete this season with 11 man teams. Contact your public and private schools and ask to be added to their game schedules. The league will give them our non-profit id and a copy of our insurance. There is no liability on there end.
The commissioner, Cecil Bonner, will certify coaches and provide your training, rules and regulation packets, and all updates. If you can not attend Regional trainings, the Larger SCHSL meetings are posted on the year calendar.
A 35$ registration fee gives each player registered (a certified regional athletics sports number)RAS# which must be used on all rosters and will not be issued by the commissioner until physicals, birth certificates, league fees, and exception forms have been received at the league office. Athletes must be completely registered before the first practice. Late registration is accepted upon coaches approval.
The League provides board members and athletes with a limited liability insurance policy, certified staff to handle day to day operations, technology suport, and administrative fees.
